Under close supervision of a department supervisor, performs a variety of routine cleaning tasks requiring moderate to heavy physical effort. Maintains assigned work area and equipment in an orderly and sanitary condition at all times.
Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding personal, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of Hillcrest South. Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and Hillcrest South. Must report hazards and initiate appropriate action. Must participate in safety instructional programs.
Follow and maintain documentation of duties performed daily. Follow policies and procedures for loading and stocking housekeeping cart. Maintain proper stock of supplies in areas assigned. Follow policies and procedures on patient room cleaning, office cleaning, bathroom cleaning, and other miscellaneous area cleaning. Be able to read and understand MSDS sheets for all chemicals used. Must be able to pick up and properly dispose of trash and soiled linen. Must be able to perform minimal floor maintenance including dust mopping and wet mopping.
