Manager, Surgical Services

The Manager is responsible for the organizing and coordinating operational support for multiple departments to include: scheduling and staffing, productivity, documentation, performance improvement, and policies and procedures and maintains administrative duties for reporting, productivity, compliance and budget. Additional requirements include the ability to support the executive officer in the implementation of new programs and services, budgetary compliance and liaison activities. Individuals are accountable for complying with national standards and benchmarks in accordance with BMC standards to deliver efficient, effective, quality patient care. Individuals must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development to assess and interpret data and identify patient’s requirements relative to age specific needs. The Manager is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the law and must demonstrate critical thinking, skills, scientific judgment and leadership in anticipating, delegating and planning. The Manager has global accountability and responsibility for all assigned areas and reports to an executive officer.
