The geropsychiatric registered nurse is responsible for demonstrating the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process and interdisciplinary when providing care to all patients.  

Activity Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of needed activities for geriatric patients, ages 55+, in the Behavioral Health program. In addition, (s)he will participate in the interdisciplinary process.

Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or various expressive therapies preferred. If degree is in another related field, proof or experience and/or continuing education related to activity therapy is preferred.
· Associates degree and or 2 yrs experience and proof of a state approved Activities Assistant
Certification can be considered.
· At least (1) year experience in dealing with geriatric patients delivering activity therapies with enrollment in a state approved Activities Assistant certification program within one of hire.
· Behavioral Health throughout this job description refers to that population age 55+ experiencing psychiatric and emotional difficulties.
